      What is a Dermaroller session?

      A dermaroller session, also known as microneedling, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a dermaroller or hand held microneedling device. This instrument consists of tiny, fine needles attached to a cylindrical roller. During a dermaroller session, the roller is gently moved over the skin’s surface, creating numerous tiny, controlled micro-injuries or micro-punctures. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, which involves collagen and elastin production, leading to skin rejuvenation.

      The dermaroller can be used on various parts of the body, but it is most commonly employed on the face to address issues such as uneven skin texture, fine lines, Open pores, Superficial Scars, and Uneven Skin tone. The procedure is typically performed by dermatologists, or by skin aestheticians under the supervision of dermatologist. It’s considered a safe and effective treatment when administered by qualified practitioners.

      ● Needling: The dermaroller is gently rolled over the targeted area. As it rolls, it creates micro-injuries that are virtually invisible to the naked eye. Slight redness can happen after the procedure which usually settles over 24-48 hours.
      ● Combined with serums or growth factors: Depending on your skin type or skin concern, microneedling is often customized. As micro channels are open upon the use of dermaroller on the skin certain medical grade serums or natural growth factors extracted from blood is infused into the skin to improve various other concerns like pigmentation, dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles etc..
      ● Healing Response: The micro-injuries trigger the skin’s natural healing response, prompting the production of collagen and elastin. This process helps to plump the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture. Additional growth factors can help hydrate the skin and improve conditions like blemishes, hyper pigmentation dark spots etc.
